Welcome to Year 6

This year we are a lovely, hardworking class of 31 Year 6 children. Miss Carbert is our class teacher and Mrs Pidcock and Mrs Weir work with us each day. Miss Mansfield teaches us on a Tuesday when Miss Carbert has planning and leadership time.

In the mornings our main learning focus is English and Maths. During afternoon sessions we cover the foundation subjects through our school curriculum topics.

Our P.E. days are Mondays and Thursdays. Children must come to school in their P.E. kits which must include their team coloured t-shirts, school hoodie, shorts or plain tracksuit bottoms and trainers. No jewellery is permitted, so children must be able to take their own earrings out or come to school without them in. 

Daily reading, weekly spelling, MyMaths and other homework is set each Friday for completion by the following Friday. Reading journals should be regularly signed by an adult. The children will also be set occasional project based work linked to our topics.

Please ensure your child has a water bottle each day to keep hydrated.
