YEAR 6 GRAFFITI ART

After a focused study on Banksy in Autumn 1, Y6 continued to developed their art skills by creating a tag as a signature for their work. They tried out 'bubble', 'block' and 'wild' styles, choosing their favourite for their final piece.

Next, children used their knowledge from their local History unit 'Facing the Past' about the slave trade and what they had learned about Black Lives Matter and created an individual sketch in the style of Banksy. Y6 children then worked in small groups to create their stencils for a group piece, before using spray paint to transfer the stencil print onto canvas.

We went outside during our first Science lesson, to show how the particles of solids, liquids and gases are different.
