We have been learning about The Great Fire of London as part of our topic this half-term. The children learned about how the fire started and why it spread so quickly, sequenced events of the Great Fire of London, learned about significant individuals, including Samuel Pepys, made houses and used colour mixing to make flames for our Great Fire of London display.
In Dance, Reception and Year 1 created a mind map for The Great Fire of London, rehearsed dance moves linked to the theme and performed their dance in groups.
In gymnastics, the children have explored different ways of travelling.
Reception and Year 1 love outdoor learning, developing many different skills.
In Science, we have been learning about Seasonal Changes. The children helped set up an outdoor weather station, measuring and recording the rainfall and temperature each day.
Reception and Year 1 enjoyed a visit to our local fire station, comparing firefighters today to 1666.
Reception and Year 1 have baked Christmas biscuits. They planned their designs, helped measure out the ingredients and mix it, decorated their biscuits and evaluated them.
