We learnt all about how people in World War 2 had to evacuate their homes and built Anderson shelters. We built our own mini Anderson Shelters.
We really enjoyed our visit to the Heritage Centre to link in with our topic on World War 2. We looked at some of the artefacts from this era. It was very interesting and we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep.
We had a great archery session with James on our first day back to school after the half term break. Some of us didn't realise that we had a hidden talent!
Year 5 and 6 had great fun code breaking in computing. This links in with our topic on World War 2. We learnt about the History of code breaking and Bletchley Park and then had a go ourselves. It got quite competitive at times but great fun :)
World Book Day. We loved dressing up as different characters from various books, reading to the younger and children and taking part in lots of reading activities including an emoji quiz :)
We had a great tennis session with Mr Fletcher, short fun activities and then a rally to finish off. Well done Year 5, we have some future tennis players :)
