Week 2 wk commencing 27th April 2020
Well, I've had some really wonderful feedback from lots of parents this week with regards to the activity plans that were set up for last week's learning. It's been so wonderful receiving lots of photos (and some videos) of the amazing tasks and challenges you've been doing at home. Hopefully, you are all finding a routine that you are settling into and enjoying the sessions that you're doing together.
Like last week, I have attached daily Maths, English, Phonics and PE. In addition there is a weekly RE task and a topic sheet of learning around 'The Gingerbread Man' of which 5 activities are to be completed across the week.
Please send photos, observations and videos to our class email. If you struggle to get the photos to attach via email, feel free to send them as a message in Class Dojo.
I have loved seeing so many incredible learning opportunities. I'm extremely proud of all the children in Class 1 who seem to be adapting so well to the changes that have occurred recently. It's so wonderful to see them so very engaged and eager to take on learning challenges at home. Keep it up!
White Rose Maths
Each of the Maths sessions has a video available on the White Rose website.

Go to week two.
Click on the first video and this will start the session for day one. The videos below are for the following sessions for the rest of the week. It is advisible that you watch the videos to indroduce the sessions where possible.
I have also attached the powerpoints for the sessions to this page but they are much easier to follow on the video. Take a look over the weekend as there maybe a few bits that you might want to gather in advance and make changes where you need to for resources. You don't need to stick to the exact objects that they suggest if it's easier for you to use something else.
The DfE have funded a series of phonics lessons online through letters and sounds for the next 12 weeks. They go live this week. Please see attached letter for further information on how to access them from home.
Please see the attached schedule for each of the daily phonics sessions that you can access online.
Please choose 5 of the challenges from 'The Gingerbread Man' page to complete across the week and send in photos of your child's work to our class email address.
I have added the resources that you may need for some of the activities below. These do not need printing, they are simply there to support you with song words, recipes and instructions for some of the tasks.
